I offer both face to face and online appointments. Receiving therapy over an online platform such as Zoom or Teams is an incredibly effective, private and convenient way to receive therapy.
Multiple studies, including a recent study published in The Lancet have shown that receiving therapy online is at least as effective as face to face appointments (Luo et al, 2020, Morriss et al, 2019).
Online therapy sessions can occur in the privacy of your own home or in your work office, and are conducted over an end-to-end encrypted version of Zoom to ensure further privacy. Furthermore, I use an additional security measure of a VPN to give you extra confidence that your appointments are private.
With the confidence that many of us now have using video calls, adults are telling me they are finding it far easier to incorporate an online therapy session into their working day. Children are benefiting from the medium too, as most schools are able to offer children a private room to have their appointment, meaning they can stay at school and have less time away from classes.
I have been offering both face to face and online appointments at my private clinic for over ten years now. If you feel online appointments would be most helpful to you, but you have concerns about setting up your computer or ‘logging in’ to the call, just let me know and I would be more than happy to talk you through what to do on the phone at your own pace.
As always, any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
